  7.      SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  10.      512K RAM, Hard Disk, Any Monitor
  11.      DOS 3.3 or greater

  13.      NEW INSTALLATION PROGRAM
  14.      ------------------------

  16.      Use INSTALL.EXE to install the system to your hard disk.
  17.      Just enter the drive and path for Easy Project.  All necessary
  18.      files will be copied and unpacked.
  19.  
  20.      Please make sure you have a CONFIG.SYS file in your root directory
  21.      that has a FILES=25 statement.  This is the minimum value to be used.

  24.      Use the EP.BAT file to start Easy Project or place the following
  25.      command in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file:
  26.           SET CLIPPER=F030;E0;

  28.      UPGRADING FROM A PRIOR (4.x) VERSION

  31.      Copy the new EPX.EXE file to your system - there's no change
  32.      to the data structures.

  34.      UPGRADING FROM A PRIOR (3.x) VERSION

  37.      Follow the normal installation instructions being sure to install
  38.      Easy Project in a new subdirectory (i.e. \EP40).

  40.      To update the system with your old data, follow the instructions
  41.      in the user manual.

  43.      NOTE:  Only files from a 3.X version will be converted.  There is no
  44.      utility provided to convert data from a version prior to 3.0. (1989)

  60.      EXPANDED/EXTENDED MEMORY USERS

  63. If your system has conflicts between Easy Project and extended/expanded memory,
  64. this may appear as an OPEN ERROR (0) problem.  If you get this message,
  65. or an out of memory message, try issuing the DOS SET command:

  67.           SET CLIPPER=V010;E000;R032;F030;

  70.     LAPTOP OWNERS

  73.     Easy Project may detect what it interprets as a color
  74.     monitor on some laptops.  Better results may be ontained if
  75.     the monochrome option is chosen from the system configuration
  76.     screen (Utilites Menu).

  79.     DROPING TO DOS/BACKUPS/RESTORE NOTES
  80.     ------------------------------------

  82.     The Backup and Restore options all drop to DOS and execute
  83.     from the DOS prompt.  Depending on the size of your projects, you
  84.     may experience an error message stating you do not have enough
  85.     memory.  Try exiting Easy Project and executing the Backup or
  86.     Restore functions first before retrieving any projects.

  89.     OUT OF ENVIRONMENT ERRORS
  90.     -------------------------

  92.     If during the Easy Project start up routine, a message flashes
  93.     (from DOS) stating you are out of environment space, add the
  94.     following line to your CONFIG.SYS file then re-boot your PC:

  96.          SHELL=COMMAND.COM /p /e:512

  98.     Consult your DOS manual for further uses of this command.
